Over Plucked Eyebrows
Over plucked eyebrows are a common problem. Fortunately there are many treatment options available to help.
Who are over plucked eyebrow treatments for?
It may be that you have got over-zealous with the tweezers and not got the shape you wanted. You may have spent years just tweezing to the same shape and have now realised that it’s time to take back control and start growing your eyebrows back in. Maybe you’re tired of tweezing your eyebrows every couple of days, and want to get out of the cycle of having to do your eyebrows yourself. It’s really tough to shape your own eyebrows and get them symmetrical! Maybe you’ve realised that you just don’t know what shape and style suits your face shape and are at a loss of what to do with your brows.
Which treatments could be suitable for me?
HD Brows
HD Brows is an eyebrow tinting and shaping service. When we shape your eyebrows, we always have the shape in mind that we eventually want them to be. Stray hairs in the areas we want to fill in are always left to encourage regrowth over time. The idea being that every time you come (usually 6 weekly) you’ll get closer and closer to your desired shape. Makeup will quite often be required to fill in any gaps so we can fake it until we make it.
Precision Tinting & Henna Brows
Precision Tinting and Henna Brows both use highly pigmented, long-lasting dyes to tint the hairs. The great thing about these tints is that they can quite often have the added bonus of producing a coloured skin stain behind the hairs. We would follow the same principal with shaping as we would for HD Brows, keeping in mind how we eventually want the eyebrows to look, and nurturing any hairs that we want to keep.
We would like to point out that Henna and Precision Tints don’t always offer the skin staining for everyone. It tends to work better on drier skin-types and it’s also not great at building up colour on the skin where there is completely no hair. That being said, it’s a great alternative to HD Brows, and works wonderfully well with drier skins, light/sparse and fuller eyebrows.
Brow Lamination (Brow Sculpt)
Brow Lamiantion is one of the best treatments for making the most of your natural hair. If you can imagine eyebrow hair for most people lays flat, with Brow Lamination — also known as Brow Sculpt — we’re able to brush the hairs up and allow them to rest in this position. This can sometimes make your eyebrows look twice as big. When we do this treatment, we are softening the hairs so that they are easier to style and hold their position. The eyebrow hairs won’t be stiff and set into place, but they will be a lot more workable and brush up into positions that your natural hair would never do without help.
It can take time do reach your desired goals and you may always have little areas that you might need to fill in going forward. The hair follicles can quite often still grow hairs if left to do so. But sadly sometimes constant over-tweezing can cause the follicle to be permanently damaged and no longer grow hairs.
Permanent Makeup
Permanent Makeup for the eyebrows is also available. If you just can’t face the wait, or if your eyebrows no longer grow, then Permanent Makeup for eyebrows is a great treatment to consider. We can restore your eyebrows with soft hair by hair techniques (hair strokes) and/or soft shading. We use vegan hypoallergenic pigments and place them into the skin to simulate a makeup look.
So as we can see you don’t have to settle with over plucked eyebrows for life. There are many options available to help to restore your eyebrows.
